They are cute, and factual, but I'd like to see better ant drawings. I keep seeing the same little bethylid wasp, rendered in different colors, to represent all the ants.

I agree, I think its great to get this kind of literature out there. But I am with Doctorant on this one. Since the book is clearly geared towards older children, (most first graders don't understand...
